Before I knew about those rapidly multiplying little bulbs, I threw plants I didn't want on the compost heap. I have realised the error of my ways! But they are very pretty in the right place.
My history of determination ,,,,,,, u must think me crazy but I've been trying to grow these for ages, and to pot it all even bought one .
I think it was called" brazenn hussy "" someone even sent me some very pale lemon ones which were a bluey grey underside the petals.. l 've never seen the white one it looks delightfull ,is it a true white please Berghill , and where did you get it from please?
Celandine. It's EVERYWHERE in my wooded garden, cannot get rid of it. Every tiny little bit of root you don't get out sprouts into a new plan. Really reall invasive. At least the beds look full but it can be a pain. Granma stop trying you grow it as I think you will regret it
There are a lot of different forms of this. Sadly there is now no longer a National Collection of them, so many of them are no longer easily available.

I hate it, I spend hours just digging every tiny bulb up.
Waste of time, for every one you dig up you will leave a dozen behind to spread.
I like them and only put Roundup on the ones which grow in the wrong place.
So how about a white flowered one?
Not a waste of time if you are careful and get all the bulbs out, like ground elder, this garden was covered in both 4 years ago, hardly any now.

Brazen Hussy is gorgeous, and doesn't spread wildly like the native ones.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
