Cosmos seedlings
Very leggy cosmos seedlings led to this tragedy...

Luckily I was a big fan of Blue Peter in my youth....

It is indeed one I made earlier pansyface, to save time. The object consists of a cardboard box covered in tin foil and secured with sticky-back plastic. No empty washing-up liquid bottles were used though
Its an attempt at one hollie hock yes
My Cosmos were very leggy to start with last year, it was the first year of growing them, but they ended up beautiful......I couldn't actually believe how easy they were to grow so this year I am growing 2 lots and I'm going to have a big patch of them all together
Aww thank you hollie. I've put them in tonight - I'm hoping it might help as I have tomatoes along the window sill so can't get the cosmos as close as I'd like. I think that's why they've gone leggy because they're stretching for more light. It was dead simple to make, just cut the front off a cardboard box and cover it with kitchen foil
Cosmos are gorgeous aren't they OL. They always remind me of a flower a child would draw, classic 'flower' shape and bright colours
Is there any reason why this cannot be used in a greenhouse?
I suppose not granma, though for myself our kitchen can be a bit dingy in the mornings and cosmos being so fast growing, they have developed long thin stems. I've noticed this morning the seedlings are bolt upright.
Is your GH shady granma? I don't really think plants can have too much light can they? As opposed to direct sunlight.
