I have just arrived to your beautiful community and will like to ask if anyone can help me with the name of this marvelous beauty I got to know this month.
Epiphyllum crenatum, Crenate Orchid Cactus, there are a lot of hybrids, but this looks like the natural species to me. I guess we can assume it isn't growing in the UK!
Thanks so much for transmiting your knowledge. You guess right! This Crenate Orchid Cactus is growing at 2,650 mts of altitud over the Andes mountains in Colombia. Here the temperature goes from 2 or 3 Celcius degrees at the brake of day, to 23 degrees at midday . Very often temperatures can drop even 4 degrees below 0, at dawn.
And as far as I can see, this one is as you say, a natural species.
