Sounds fine to me image  I have some Christmas cacti, but they're all very similar http://www.hortmag.com/weekly-tips/qa/easter-cactus-how-it-differs-from-christmas-cactus

When all chances of frost are over it can go outside in a relatively sunny spot (they like sunshine but not at midday if it's hot) for the summer, and bring it back indoors before the colder weather arrives.  Keep an eye out for slugs and snails - they love to graze on them - and don't let them get waterlogged.  I repot mine after flowering but as you've done yours already it should be fine until next year.

They can grow into quite substantial plants and are easy to strike from cuttings.

    Great fun. image

  • My dad has one he's had for years and he keeps it in the bathroom till it starts to plump out and get flower buds on, he just keeps it in a warm place and waters when it needs it.
  • Thank you so much for your advice!

I bought a reduced price Christmas Cactus for ??2 in a GC in December, it looked fine but had dropped it's buds. It regained it's strength and flowered for weeks. I thought it has finished so moved it ...lo and behold it's covered in buds again so back to it's prime position so I can enjoy it all over again....a Christmas and Easter cactus in one! It proved to be great value?

Thanks Dove for the care instructions.
