Sounds fine to me
I have some Christmas cacti, but they're all very similar http://www.hortmag.com/weekly-tips/qa/easter-cactus-how-it-differs-from-christmas-cactus
When all chances of frost are over it can go outside in a relatively sunny spot (they like sunshine but not at midday if it's hot) for the summer, and bring it back indoors before the colder weather arrives. Keep an eye out for slugs and snails - they love to graze on them - and don't let them get waterlogged. I repot mine after flowering but as you've done yours already it should be fine until next year.
They can grow into quite substantial plants and are easy to strike from cuttings.
Great fun.

Thanks Dove for the care instructions.
