Peas in bags?

Hi, Is it ok to grow peas in bags? I'm thinking the type of tall round bag I used for potatoes Las year? Thanks Jason

peas don't need a lot of depth to the soil to grow so you may be using to much compost  ,infact when we were kids we grew them on wet news paper

So it would probably work then?

I could even use a large pot perhaps?

I don't know how well pea support twigs would hold up in a bag plus peas do bush out. Doubt you'd get much of a crop. image

Thanks guys, will leave the peas for my raised beds then.

Planted some potatoes and carrots in bags today, first things out. Need to get a move on with the rest ????
