When to remove greenhouse insulation?

Last year we got a proper glass greenhouse. In October I attached bubblewrap in various amateur ways to every square inch of the inside of my greenhouse.

Now I am worried that if I take it off too early all my frost protecting will have been in vain - as the geraniums, jasmine, alstromera and yucca will suffer a chill.

BUT if I leave it too long they will fry.

There is an automatic vent (which I dislodged with my over zealous bubblewrapping, but managed to fix again), and it is opening a bit when the sun shines.

SO..... when to unwrap?

Having visited Northumberland in May, I'd suggest NEVER. image

I'd just watch out for humidity getting a bit too high.

I dont take mine off only at the window, it keeps the sun off the plants.

Thanks guys - The attaching leaves a LOT to be desired.... It is more draped than attached so I am anxious to remove it. I bought a 'kit' from the garden centre which was a roll of bubblewrap the width of the panes and some plastic fixers which prodded into the grooves of the frame.

HOWEVER... a lot of the frame - eg corners where the roof joins the end 'walls' doesn't HAVE grooves - so I have masking tape (not sticky enough) sandwich ties and various other eyesores cluttering up my beautiful new greenhouse image and I want to take it down

For future reference, maybe.   Bigbarb, I struggled to attach shading material inside my greenhouse, with the same problem as you had where the roof joins the end walls.   Eventually I discovered that short pieces of trellis slats would fit in between the  frame and the glass pane and hold the shadecloth in place.

You know, sometimes I wonder if manufacturers ever read or try out the instructions they send out with their products!
