Very very fine nylon painbrush, the kind you would use for painting small models. Get one contrasting in colour from the pollen and you should be better able to see what you are dabbing where.
Thanks Jimmy does the fruit usually develop now?
Never grown Peppers before, but once you've dabbed pollen on to all the flowers, it should just be a case of waiting.
Oh fair enough Jimmy but I would recommend them they are a fast growing and flowering plant when kept indoors or in a greenhouse
Chillies, like tomatoes, are self-pollinating in that the flowers contain both male and female bits and the pollen is transferred internally. They often don't need help pollinating. Insects can help the process as they forage simply by giving the flower a bit of a shake and triggering the internal transfer. A decent breeze will do the same thing. In the absence of insects or a breeze you can give the flowers a gentle flick with your fingers to help them along.
