What are these spring plants?

Hi all,

We only moved into our new house in late December and about 6 weeks ago I thought I'd get on with weeding the front garden border. Amongst the weeds I found many little bulbs, many of them sitting on top of the soil rather than under it! I thought I'd re-plant them, thinking they were daffodils.

I've been waiting and waiting, but they look like they've forgotten to grow flowers :\ Now I don't think they are daffodils at all!

What do you think? Please excuse the weeds- We've had so much work to do in the house I havent gotten around to keeping up with them!

And there looks to be a tiny rose there too.

  • I planted the tony roseimage I have no idea how well it will grow but I thought I'd give it a go!

Thank you, that's interesting! When do bluebells tend to flower? Do these look like they will flower?

Still early for bluebells, I've a new house and similar looking bluebells. Give them time

When the foliage begins to flop over you should start to see the flower spikes appearing. Its usually end of April/beginning of May they start flowering here.

  • Lovely. Thank you!
