Good Morning, could anyone can ID these. I'm not sure if they are weeds or self sown seeds of annuals (or perennials) from last autumn.

This is the other one. But I suspect that this is a weed, possibly ground elder. .

I can't say with any certainty as they are very young, but is there a possibility that the first one is parsley and the second is a hellebore?

First one might be Nigella, the second ones Hellebore.

  • I'd agree with Busy-Lizzie, first one is almost certainly Parsley and google seems to think the second one is Hellebore.

A hellebore oh how wonderful! I'm so pleased I didn't dig it up. That has made my day.

I've never had parsley in the garden, do you think it may be Nigella? As I have did have lots and lots of Nigella last summer.

Thinking on, could the first one be iberis candytuft?

Have a poke and sniff of that 2nd one. It might be elder rather than ground elder.

Cow parsley looks right for the first
