I don't like pastel colours at all in the garden, but I particularly don't like blue. Perhaps it's the climate here - the sky is often a washed out bluey, grey so I don't want any more of that if I can help it!
Purple - now that's a different matter entirely

I have hostas and brunnera in the same area. Hostas scoffed. Brunnera untouched.
I'd love to use them because the foliage is a great foil for other things, but I hate those blue flowers

That is good news, thanks folks. I shall rush out and buy some. I think the Jack Frost variety are really lovely.
I've never seen the flowers Fairygirl but the foliage is just so lovely and I can imagine it could really liven up a bare winter garden
