So sorry for you, Graham. I think your sweetpeas should survive. And if your other seedlings had developed any root system, there's a chance they will come away again. Just hope you can recognise them! I was working in my greenhouse for a while with the wind blowing and it was quite scary. We have lots of large trees around us, and the noise was horrendous. Didn't stay there long!
Bad luck Graham hope you can save some of them .I know March winds will blow but it's very near April one of my big potted rhododendron went flying and made a mess of the other small pots Good job you had the extra light hour to do your repairs
I went garden visiting and left as the wind was really rising. I thought there was something wrong with the car on the way home but I think it was just the extreme head-wind. Took a while to get home, tree across the A47.
Graham hopefully if you give your sweet peas some tender love and care they should be ok, I would maybe sow a couple more pots just in case as you don't want them to die now do we?? We've had strong winds down here (South coast) it's not good!!
Sorry to hear about your woes, Graham but glad to see you displaying that stiff upper lip and Bulldog spirit. The British weather is our traditional foe but it hasn't beaten us yet.
Bring it on its all nailed down or screwed down and tender plants taken indoors, even fence posts have been given extra surport but its sunny here in Milton Keynes now and winds not to bad but ill be on my guard tonight Ha Ha
