Making newspaper pots for seeds/seedlings

I saw this video last year and will be making them to sow my seeds this year
tried my first pot today and paper must measure 11x22in for a 2 and 3/4in pot or 28x56cms to make a 7x7cm pot. If you don't cut the paper it just makes a slightly bigger pot
Pretty sturdy. Fun to make when the weather is bad and you're stuck indoors
can be kept folded flat until needed then opened up and filled
happy spring planting
ps alternately they'd make cute Easter baskets with coloured paper, a hole punch and ribbon strung through ????

I love them Grace, I have a Potter, makes round ones, you can make them very deep for beans, peas, sweet peas etc, whatever needs a pot for deep roots.
There is no root disturbance because you plant the whole lot out.
What a good idea! but I've just realised I don't buy a newspaper
! No time to read a paper with a garden! I will go and buy one tomorrow!
hi Lyn and Lynn8
I got one of those round potters as well- quick n easy ????
i had to go and buy n/paper as well
the advantage of these is that they can be folded flat until needed
ive been sitting n doing them this afternoon and they are mind numbingly satisfying when watching the telly ????
Right that's it - I'm having a go tomorrow - much less space taken up than with plant pots!
Apologies
i dont know why all my posts (I only started posting 2days ago) are ending with '???'
Don't worry Grace I hadn't even noticed!
I much prefer square pots, they fit nicely in a seed tray. I dont buy news papers but we can scrounge some!
