Should a greenhouse let in rain?

Yes all glass aluminium greenhouses should have a glazing seal down each of the vertical bars, this is standard...it is not here where greenhouses usually leak although they can especially if using Horticultural glass as there will straight away be a 3mm gap where the top pane overlaps the bottom.

Aluminium greenhouses tend to suffer in the 4 eave corners under the gutters where the brackets/plates are to different degrees depending on model.

Also around the windows are common at the top where the window overlaps, some cheaper greenhouses don't even have a rubber seal around the window pane itself.

GH2 I had leaks in my new greenhouse, but as you say, they were in the corners not the windows etc. I did seal with  clear sealant but still have leaks, they don't impact on the greenhouses performance, everything seems to grow fine, and I have had no problems.  I didn't have a really expensive greenhouse so maybe I would have been more miffed if I had paid a lot of money for it.

    Hi Yviestevie

Yes sealing with silicone can be a bit frustrating, water only needs a small hole to get in and sometimes all you end up doing is moving the problem elsewhere.
