i had turf laid about six weeks ago and a brown patch as appeared
what is the best way to over come this problem---cut it out and re-turf or
cut it out and seed the area the area affected is only 4 inches in diameter

Don't panic
Is it possible that a dog or a fox has urinated on the lawn? That's what it looks like to me. Canine (particuarly bitch) urine will scorch grass.
