How much topsoil I should put in on chalk to grow turf

Hi all, My backyard is just chalk. I would like to lay turf on it, so I was wondering how much topsoil I should put in on top of the chalk for the turf to grow. The size of the garden is about 50 SQMTs. Any help would be appreciated.

    You need a minimum depth of 15cm of soil to grow turf

    I know my parents dug up and area that was previously gravel and had hardcore in it and turfed it. They dug a little over a foot deep and the turf is doing ok there. However you going to need a lot of top soil for 50 square meters.

    So need to dig a lot and need a lot of topsoil then. Now I am thinking about Artificial lawn. I wonder how much it's gonna cost image
