Sickly looking Peace Lily
Please could someone hep me identify the problem with my sickly peace Lily. It has got Brown spots along the edges of the leaves. Yellow streaking across the veins. also the, just about to bud, flower also has Brown spots and is limp. The whole thing looks like it's wilting and even one of the leaves looks like it's splitting and ripping where the Brown spots are. It's thrived for months and months and months then one day this started. We did move its position but not to direct sunlight and we haven't changed the watering pattern which is once or twice a week. What am I doing wrong???

Hi Ellie
When was it last fed? Has it ever been repotted into fresh compost?
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
The symptoms you describe sound as though it has been in too light a position and maybe over-watered.
Move it to a lower light condition, and put it over plate of gravel filled with water (to keep the surrounding air damp, but now where it can reach the roots/soil). Water it less, wait and watch for that slight bit of droop.
I have one in a darker area of room. I only water it when the leaves look a little droopy and then leave it. Only use room temperature rain water as well, not tap water.
Do give it a light feed when I remember though!
