Seedlings

Hi All,
I have grown seedlings in trays for the first time. I need to transfer them to pots.
Do I have to scoop one out in the compost of the tray or can I just pull the seedling out and put it in a pot of new compost.

You will have to gently tease out the seedling from underneath with a pencil or something similar. Hold each one by the leaves and not the stem. Try not to damage the new roots. Some compost will come with it.
