The first one is Herb Robert, quite a pretty weed but does seed everywhere and the second is creeping buttercup which is a thug, so you did the right thing and I would get the buttercup out asap!

I remembered one of them had pretty pink flowers last year and now, thanks to you, I've been able to google them and it's the top one.
Going to crack on with weeding the creeping buttercup!
