    Sounds like the equivalent of the village hall dances I used to go to - all the males in the bar - all the females through in the dance hall image 

    They grew up eventually .... image

  • I still havent had any frog spawn yet. Theres been two couples in the pond but nothing. We had a bad frost last night. When is the latest to expect any spawns?

    Me neither Kieran - no spawn and no frogs image Though dragging out blanket weed today, the pond is teeming with insect life and snails.

    I had a toad in my garden at the weekend. I was happily digging away when i spotted him in a dip where I'd turned some soil over. He crawled back out of his hole and just sat for a while. Lovely little face on him! Don't know where he'd come from but hope he stays around. Used to be a lot round here but he's the first I've seen for years

    I dont believe it !!! All the frogs are back again. Ive been in garden weeding and never saw 1 frog but ive just counted 17 on the paved area
