 Hi guys

As normal for the last few years but above plant is going crazy - and lots of new ones popping up all over the place - anyone any idea as to what it might be? grows to around 3ft tall with lovely flowers on what I would describe asthin hard sticks that I have to cut down in the autumn

I don't have this plant in my garden but I think it may be Hemeracallis, sorry about spelling, common name day lily

cheers - trying to put a name to things as they start to appear

  • I have this too and love it although it isn't spreading very much.

  • I have some in my garden, have always taken them to be Day Lilies.

Perhaps you've got lots of different varieties. They are tough to dig out.

These benifit from being split up and replanted every 3 or 4 years, when they are clumped together they dont bloom Very well, you will have loads of green, not many flower stalks.

Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
