Clari and OL congratulations to both and am I reading right both celebrating 26 June 2016? How exciting But how can we all make both dos?
OL I love your revised plans of roses and Freesias but if you had your heart set on daffs you could always pop in those really beautiful fake flowers they have these days, they are exspensive but least you could keep them after? Or like someone said about Chelsea, maybe contact daff specialist who attends any summer shows and ask how they manage daffs in June or even better could they supply you some next June? X
i'm getting married in late June next year, we're hoping for sweet peas (as they are mine and my better half's favourite flower) so we're planting them this autumn and bringing them on in a big pot in the green house, hopefully we'll have enough flowers for next year!
Wow Clari, are you getting married on 26th June too? It will actually be the day of our 20th wedding anniversary but we got married abroad, just the 2 of us so it is very exciting to be having another 'wedding'. Congratulations, I must have missed your news while I was AWOL
You could try cutting them just as the buds start to turn down, and keep in the salad drawer. Florists keep them like that for a while. Try a bunch this year and see how long they last.
I might see if I can get some narcissi anywhere that punk mentioned and plant them now in pots, see how I get on and if they come up too quick put the flowers in the fridge as suggested by FB.
I don't think daffodils would look odd in the summer, no more odd than sunflowers in spring
Fentongollan farm send out daffs by post in wholesale size boxes. You could ask them what the latest dates are. Although they are in Cornwall, and i suspect you need some from Scotland.

Sweet peas sound perfect tree hugger and congratulations to you too
Narcissus Pheasants eye flowers in May usually, so that would not be so difficult to hold back.
