i have some chicken manure , if i dig it in now in my Dahlia spots will it be to soon to remain active when i put my Dahlias in about May , or will it lose its goodness

if it's fresh, I'd add it to your compost bin and use something else this season for your dahlias. Fresh chicken poo is pretty potent stuff.
