Does your greenhouse have to be in south facing? I have lots of room out back for a plastic small ish greenhouse, but its north facing?

I believe it's best to have it running North / South so the sun heats up the East in Morning, shines down the length at mid day and warms the West up in the afternoon. But Basically most don't have the luxury of these merits, usually the plot dictates where it has to go.
You'll just adjust what you grow where with experience.
just try to find the sunniest place you can site it.

might be useful to protect plants over winter??
Meaning for the summertime not for now. As i am learning, i have no idea about winter plants, the garden i moved to is completely empty, so trying to get it full of spring/summer plants.
