Easter heatwave alert

according to news we have a heatwave to look forward to Easter!  I do hope they are right. I think warmer temperatures and sunshine is a tonic to us all and we can get outdoors and tackle all our gardening jobs. Anyone else heard this? Xx

I'd like to believe it but predictions don't have a reputation for accuracy.

Weren't we going to have a hard winter? Some may have done but we had one snowfall of about an inch and a lowest temperature of 5.8C.

Very few days when we couldn't work outside.

We didn't have much snow, stayed dry but I noticed lots more frosts in Essex than the last two years. I guess it depends where you are. I remember Dove saying she had a snowy winter two years ago, she's only a little north of me and we saw none at all. Just lots and lots of rain and wind. image

I live in hope, we can get unpredictably nice weather at Easter, I'm looking forward to a four day weekend and enjoying the nights drawing out. Left work at 5 today and it was, ever so nice to drive home in daylightimage.

It's a story from  the Daily Express so it's complete rubbish

Couple of years ago there was a heatwave around the time of my birthday at the end of March. To the point where I had to use suncream image I live in hope of it happening again lol

One of my favourite phrases is "they can't get the weather right on the day" so they have no hope of getting it right that far ahead

Mmm.  This from a site I use for planning my astronomy:

I'm only interested in how cloudy it is at night though!  image

Forecasting beyond the next few days is really beyond the abilities of science I'm afraid, which is why the met. office no longer do it.  Like statements from a politician just before an election;  Believe what you want to believe, but it bear in mind they only tip their hat to science, facts or reality!image
