Echinacea from seed

Ive sown Echinacea, Rudbeckia and Lupins in trays in propagators sitting on my large rear windowsill about 10 days ago. Rudbeckia and Lupins are coming on well and get!inated after about 5 or 6 days yet the Echinacea seeds aren't showing at all. They're all pretty much sown on the surface and a bit of light compost sprinkled on top. Do they take longer to germinate?

Bit longer even chicken, just be patient, mine took almost a month last year.

  • Great thanks Dave. I'm an impatient gardener!

I've had problems getting echinacea to germinate but last year I bought seeds from Nickys Seeds and they were successful......until some tiny beast ate them all and left a row of green stumps in the seed tray.
