  • I also wear any old clothes that are not fit to be seen out. OLd jeans, tracksuits. The son's old fleece jacket. On the feet wellies, walking boots or old trainers, depending on the weather! Mind you I do find visitors will always knock on the door when Im in my scruff!!!
  • I wear my green army looking parka, it is great against winds creeping up on you. I wear gardening gloves that keep my hands warm and toasty, And Timberland boots in the winter. Of course I layer if it is really cold out side, sweatpants on top of sweatpants, teeshirts sweatshirts and a hoody..Of course my ever cool looking sunglasses I think I am ready to rock-n-roll...
  • Can anyone tell me please where Monty Don buys the clothing mentioned? He always manages to look the part even though up to his knees in mud. I am particularly interested in his canvas shoulder bag as it would be just the job for my bulging pocketed husband on trips out.
  • Monty Don's shirt - tunic style pull over. Fantastic. Where on earth can I get them?
  • I wear wooden soled clog boots with irons and hobnails on the soles and heels perfect with a thermal boiler suit in the cold weather or donkey jacket and jeans anyone else wear clogs?
  • I have a pair of leather and suede gauntlets from a Shropshire tannery which go as far as the elbow and are perfect for tackling the pruning of thorny or spiky subjects, even pampas!
  • Interesting and informative, but would make something more on this topic?
  • Has anyone seen the new range of ladies gardening clothes from GardenGirl...they are fab, you can look good and enjoy gardening....check them out!! i like them as there are lots of useful pockets and knee pads that fit inside the trouser leg....i dont know about you but i am not as young as i used to be and it certainly make gardening more comfortable!!
