Pond Plants with a fountain

Hello,

Wondering if anyone could help. I've got a circular pond in my garden 10 foot wide, with a big fountain in the centre. I'd like to add some plants to the pond and was thinking Lilies would be nice, but i then found out they don't like water falling on them.

Could anyone recommend some plants that would be ok in this environment? They can be set off to the side where water won't be falling on them and ideally i'd like something that flowers, to add a bit of colour.

Much appreciated.

You want waterlilies, not the regular kind of lily.

But, if you yearn for lilies with your pond, why not plant them in the ground nearby or even in large containers that you can put nearby when they're in season?

I think that Caroline meant she would have liked waterlilies, but has found out that they don't like water falling on their leaves, which is absolutely correct - water lilies need still water.

I don't think she was referring to garden lilies.
