aldi perennials

Hiya is there anyone out there who has bought the perennials on sale at aldi this past couple of weeks thankyou

    I havent this year but have done in the past. Best to put in compost in pots and keep in an unheated greenhouse until May, they should show signs of top  growth then.

    That's where the problem lies lol there were 2 spring varieties which I have planted out but the lupins delphs foxgloves and lobelia are all full of leaves and the lupins and delphs are 8 to 10 inches high. Do I cut these leaves off thanks

    They are cracking plants just to big to early

    No, dont cut the leaves off Marc, just pot on and wait a bit to plant out, they sound lovely plants and will flower this year. If its a perennial Lobelia, it won't be frost hardy for a long while, you may lose them in the winter, I dug mine up and brought them in. 

    Beware of slugs, they love all those plants you have mentioned, if you can get them a good size before they go out they will stand a better chance, although the Lobelia will always get chewed however big it gets.
