Another azada vote here image I like it so much I have one for each allotment and I bought one for my parents too because they struggle with forking or spading

I brought my azada chillington hoe, back from a holiday in Kefalonia, Odd looks at airport check in , but it's fab.

I find it incredible they're used all the way from Portugal to Japan, but hardly ever seen in UK.

I got the idea for mine in crete. I watched an old guy use one with such ease, I thought well if he could do it, then so could I. Both my allotments came after I bought them lol. People always stop and ask what it is and I'm always happy to offer them a go on it, but they're all old school...."oh no dear, I think I'll stick to breaking my back in three by using my spade and fork..."

They have them here in France. I've never used one, but it's tempting to go and buy one now.

like Fruitcake, I used to watch a guy on his allotment using his  in Kefalonia, so versatile. I asked the holiday rep if she knew where I could get one, next day she turned up with one.

I went to the GC today and looked at an azada, but it's handle seemed quite short so I would have to stoop to use it which would give me back ache. Are they meant to be like that?

I got my azada from these people. It has a long handle and is very easy to use (and I'm not being paid to advertise them). http://www.get-digging.co.uk/tools.htm
  • You've sold it to me - I've ordered one image

Azada's are only £14.99 on Amazon at present with free deliver. They call it a digging hoe though.

If you have a hardware store locally they are cheaper there too.
