I've finally succeeded in getting one of these to survive and grow and it's going to flower.
Do I prune after flowering like R. sanguineum? and how hard?
Thanks Edd
But I'll loose half the flowers if I cut back in winter
It's pruning group 2 Nut so I'd prune like any spring flowering shrub. If your'e in doubt why not ask the RHS team.
The forum team usually comes up with an answer, or several answers, Dave. I can choose the one I like best.
Not a shrub I know so I had a google - looks gorgeous - this site http://www.findmeplants.co.uk/plant-ribes-speciosum-1747.aspx says take out older wood after flowering
Maybe I'll get to see yours in flower
Within a month Dove. I'll keep you updated
I got one last year, it's flowering now - still in its pot as I haven't found the perfect spot for it yet.
