Rose identification

Unfortunately, I planted a Canary Bird and a Helen Wright quite close together, but now one needs to go! I'd like to keep Helen Wright but cannot tell which is which in their current bare state. Any ideas please?

Thanks for that. I've just realised, the name is Knight, not Wright!

Unfortunately, Helen Knight is very similar to Canary Bird, but the flowers are a bit bigger and a big darker yellow, not much help when the plant is not yet even in leaf.

Using your guide, I'll have a closer look tomorrow ... thanks again

  • It would be very annoying if you make a guess and get it wrong,as Canary bird will soon be flowering can't you wait until then then you won't have to guess.

I think you could be right Chrissy, I might just do that. I want to move it, so thought I could do that before it flowered then it might bloom in its new spot. But maybe I'm kidding myself! Thanks for the message anyway.
