dogwood

hi due to high winds i had to cut down two large trees which has left a unsightly space. i was thinking "dogwood" and growing it 1 metre out from a timber dividing fence where the trees were, letting it grow 1.800 high the same height as the fence. the ground can get pretty soggy when raining. any suggestions.

I have 4 kinds of dogwood, midwinter fire is my favourite. It's fast growing and has year round appeal.

I guess we're just lucky with very good loamy soil.
