forgotten bulbs

Found a bag of sprouting tulip bulbs. Is it worth planting them? They seem quite firm.

Will they flower next year?

In London. Keen but lazy.

Hi B3,  Yes, get them in asap.  They may still flower this year, although will be very late.  It's always a bit of a gamble whether tulips will flower in the secomd and subsequent years as many of them are bred as annuals these days, but if you plant them deep (8 inches) you have a better chance of them repeating.

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
