Mine are doing well, the Geraniums and Aquilegia went straight out, but planted into some MPC although obviously they are not as big as those kept inside, and I'm look forward to getting them planted out soon.
I bought mine were from Lidl, but the dahlia tubers I bought from B&Q haven't done particularly well, only half of them came up. Poorer quality plants perhaps?
I've never been overly impressed with B&Q (own brand) plants and plugs to be honest, I'd rather spend the money in my local nursery as the quality is always superior and not a huge difference in the pricing. And of course the experience and advice from gardeners at the nursery is second to none, unlike the blank vacant gaze you get in answer to any questions with the B&Q sales people. : ) But with the Lidl's 'a pound a throw' for 3 bare root plants it was worth the experimenting with, and as you can see the Echinop Retros are doing great, as is the echinacea 'white swan' and the 'white admiral' phlox.
Hmmm. you would think Marc that they could at least give you an idea of when they plan to deliver. Thankfully coreopsis isn't planted out until late spring for late summer colour so plenty of time yet, perhaps that's what they are relying on?
How ridiculous, if they are shipping those quantities then they would at least have an automated mailing, and if they haven't then they bloody well should answer your inquiry! Its not rocket science!
I have to ask, has your card been debited for the order?
Personally I would cancel the order (and demand an immediate refund if necessary) making it quite clear as to why, and then place my order elsewhere, in today's online climate good customer service can make or break.
That's certainly a black mark against them. If it were me, I would be publicly tweeting and posting on their facebook page. That's the advantage of social media.
