Bay tree problem
in Plants
I have a fairly tall bay tree (roughly 140cm), with about 4 stems, it doesn't have many leaves but they are yellowish and some are spotted black. I have just re-potted it into a large glazed pot, how can I get it to look more healthy? i.e. darker, greener leaves ect. Should I cut some stems off?
I tried to attach some images but it doesn't work, sorry.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Many thanks, Bizzybee63

Bizzy click on the green tree icon on the toolbar it won't work on ipads so I believe.
Thanks Dave, I thought I did that but I will try again .
Bizzybee all trees will benefit from a good feed just now. My bays has to be brought into porch as it so cold here but they still get leaf drop and go a bit yellowish. They always respond to a good mulch of compost

If growing in pots I would use a soil based compost instead of a MP compost. JI 2 or 3 would be more suitable. I would be inclined to repot in a suitable compost, cut it back a bit to promote new healthy growth and make sure it doesn't dry out over summer... Periodic liquid feeds will also be beneficial. Good luck
Thanks Lily, Mollis!
Thanks also to Busy-Lizzie for the very useful info in the BBC Lancashire link.
