I forgot to mention Cornus mas, primroses, rosemary, Iberis sempervirens, Iris unguicularis and Erodium pelagonifolium the last have been flowering non stop since the snow went away the year before last.
Wow thanks everyone, I'm totally jealous now! Not been able to look at forum since posted this thread, so just been though it, and now I have a wonderful view of your gardens.
when I'm not at work or locked in the kitchen I'll have look to check on some mentioned which I might have hiding somewhere- thanks for the reminders, I DO have hellebores, phlmonaria and a single jasmine flower (stripped by builders earlier in the year!). Daffodils are barely green shoots up to now. I did find my tubs of bulbs with shoots coming through lying sideways after the winds had blown the tubs over. Did I miss it but no one seems to have mentioned beginia (spelling?).
My bergenia never thrive Victoria. I think one clump has snuffed it but may have been undermined by rodents/moles and nothing round the roots. I haven't investigated yet

A few snowdrops, an iris (purple),
What I'm noticing most is all the weeds appearing!
Panda mentioned Bergenia MrsGarden, maybe others did too.
Mine aren't thriving, I have to say
Nobody mentioned coltsfoot either but I have a lovely strand at the front of one of my borders
