Darmera peltata from seed

I used to have a lovely darmera peltata plant and now I've got some seeds. Has anyone grown them from seed before? They like boggy conditions when grown, but what's the best way to grow them from seed? Ordinary seed and cutting compost? Heated propagator or greenhouse or outside? Cover with vermiculite or not? I've only 20 seeds so I don't want to waste them and they didn't come with recommendations.
