Aubretia

I purchased new purple aubretia plants in spring 2014. It went on to flower really well. No problems. I trimmed it after it had finished flowered and put the container in a fairly sheltered spot to winter. Up to now though, there is no sign of any new spring growth. Have I managed to kill it?
