My chionodoxas are in a stone trough on a ledge outside the house about halfway up it. At the moment only the greenery is out, which looks like thick blades of grass. No sign of flowers yet but there will be. The little patch I have in the garden are not out yet, so I don't think its a problem, just have to wait a little longer.
Not sure that anyone actually does. But the ordinary ones usually flower like that, just a little later that's all. If the molluscs don't eat the buds that is.
Ours do not do too badly, but then we do have hundreds of them so you tend not to notice a few eaten buds.

Berghill, where can I get green seed of nemorosa?
Gardenmaiden - none of mine are even showing green
so maybe squirrels have chomped the lot in preference to the other bulbs
Seeds of A. nemorosa can only really be got from someone who has them growing in their garden. Bought packeted seeds are dead.
Wisehedgecrone. I have sent you a PM.
Sadly, yes, they will eat the flower buds, even below ground level.
Ahhhhhh - that might be my answer
RIGHT. (wildlife friendly) slug pellets to the rescue - for any remaining bulbs!
This is Scilla luciiliae (Chionodoxa) Valentine's Day without having been eaten.
WOW.
WELL JELL!
How do I get some to bloom like that next year???
Find someone who sell Valentine's Day?
