Hiya Tracey welcome . I know I'm in something of a minority, but I think Nigel is a waste of GW telly time. I'm sure he's a lovely dog, but I'd rather see more gardening then Nigel catching a ball.

    Awaiting hate mail now.

    Devon.
  • I have no objection to Nigel (dog) being in the background when things are going on in the garden - that's the way gardens are - I wouldn't want Nigel's fans' enthusiasm for him to take over the programme - but I don't think that has happened.

Now if we were talking about Pdoc taking over the programme - that would be a different matter image

  • Hello fellow gardeners just wanted to thank u all for ur lovely welcome messages!

I dont one know about you all but I can't wait to get stuck into sowing all my seeds! I spring cleaned my greenhouse emptying it and cleaning everything like Monty advised. Just waiting for the right weather lol!!! Has anyone ever used a heating mat under their seed trays? I am thinking of investing in one to get my seedlings off to a good start.

I can't wait to get started. Got my name on a waiting list for an allotment too but am number nine on the list so will have to use my greenhouse in the interim!  I am keen but new to growing veg and flowers etc so I will be seeking lots of advice from you professionals!

Hello Tracey. I recently bought a heating mat to go on the greenhouse shelf. But I haven't started sowing yet so too soon to answer your question. Also waiting for OH to re-install the electricity cable to the GH, but we've been poorly so not done yet.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Ooh, let me know how you get on Busy-Lizzie.
