Hello, just made this insect house and I have created a space in the top for some planting, the question is what can I plant here that will be happy? Would like something if possible that will trail over??
I'd try something like creeping thyme which is low growing, grows just about anywhere and its flowers attract bees. As a perennial, when it finishes flowering, you just trim it back to keep it neat. Maximum impact for little effort.

a small leaved ivy might work, or vinca minor?
Thank you, I did think an ivy,
For info the space is approx 21" x 3" x 3"
You could squeeze in a tiny sempervivum in the middle of that space.
