Raised beds and depth
I'm looking into getting some raised beds for the school garden for Yr 1 & 2 to grow some veg. (bearing in mind, trying to get a harvest before school breaks up end of July)
Looking at raised beds, it seems they come in 1m x 1m size, which is probably fine, but lots of different depths. What should I be going for ?
Are there any rules ? I need to balance up requirements vs cost, as PTA will probably be asked to buy them.
Any advice gratefully received.
Thank you.

I'd say no more than 10 inches deep peanuts. It has to be easy for the kids to get into and you can do less. You won't be growing anything deep rooted will you. And bearing in mind the cost of filling them you don't want to buying tons of topsoil.
