This is on our north facing trellis fence, new clematis viticella Morning Heaven, hundreds of pale blue bells with a hint of pink interior, bombproof hardy, no vices.

It's a beautiful colour with really velvety flowers - grows well here and complements other planting well. That's oneof my favourite pix from the garden - the raindrops just 'sat' on the flowers

I've got an Alpina Pamela Jackman on a north-facing fence - it blooms it's socks off every year and is loved by wrens, robins and families of fledgling blue tits.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
How would they both fare on an east facing wall? Are they haters of early morning sun whilst the ground is still frosty, like camellias, or are they really tough?
