    Sorry, I agree with Verdun

    In the sticks near Peterborough
  • That's ok Nutcutlet probably won't come to anything but I can give it a shot

  • As Verdun says Scarlet Emperor needs pollinating + the light and temperature at this time of year pretty well guarantees the plants will come to nothing so far as producing beans.

Far too early. I dont sow runner beans under glass until end of April. Chuck them out and wait until then.

Unless you are in Spain or somewhere else warm and  frost free.

  • Ha I wish I live in Spain... But at the moment it's in a warm room

  • Daisy, save your energy and enthusiasm for something that will work otherwise when you're continually met with disappointment you'll lose heart and lose interest in gardening -  there's not a hope in hell that your bean plant will produce anything.  Sorry

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

  • Thanks everybody for your opions and yes I'll save my energy into something that will be worthwhile...
