Potatoes - what's the skinny?

    I always grow Charlotte as my 2nd earlies.  Lady Balfour are a good main crop and if you want something different try Pink Fir.  These are the those pink knobbly expensive potatoes you sometimes see in the shops.   

  • Hi Road, glad you joined the club! I'm new to having my very own garden (currently a derelict field, albeit one with serious horticultural aspirations).

    Thanks for your input, all of you. I obviously have some decisions to make re potatoes, although, as they are indeed a great way to work over new soil, I shall no doubt fall by the wayside and try lots of different types. 

    Must get that diary up and running before I forget what and where I planted stuff...
