Is this raised border too small for black bamboo

in Plants
Good evening all,
I am wanting to hide my fence and i also love the look of black bamboo. Is this border too small for me to plant bamboo and and hide the fence. The border goes down maybe around 1 metre and its around 35 cm wide. the length is 5 metres. the ends are both bricked so I could have a runner. Any advice on what type (was hoping for black bamboo), how far apart they should be planted and the care they need; It would be very helpful,
Thanks in advance.

I have a clump of black bamboo.although they are not invasive like some bamboos I would think some would come up the other side of the fence.they also grow quite tall about fifteen feet and have you seen the price of them!
behind the fence is solid concrete, maybe just normal bamboo?
Or can anyone recommend another plant that has a bamboo like structure
How about arundo donax? Its a grass but the stems are so thick it looks like bamboo
Even with concrete I wouldn't go for the invasive bamboo's. Clump forming bamboo including the black will do ok there.
don't do it!! my brother in law has just removed bamboo from his back garden after complaints from neighbours about it coming thru their concrete paving slabs. it is simply not worth it. don't believe anyone who says its not invasive.
and yes that area is too small. I got given some bamboo by said brother in law - always knew he didn't like me- and it took over quickly and I had to dig it out an awful job.
there are lots of clematis that would look lovely, montanna broughton star is a good one. anything but bamboo!!sorry bamboo fans out there
I LOVE bamboo and have i think 6 different kinds, but the area shown is too small. Have a look at some grasses that will give you a similar look, and climbers for the fence cover, and some good looking plants in pots you can move about in front of the area.
Aside from invasiveness issues I think a bamboo would look very squashed in and not very attractive there
