We have a large Corsican Pine which sheds lots of needles throughout the year. Can these be used as a garden mulch or are they too acidic ?
No reason why not, some plants prefer pine needles as a mulch, if your'e worried compost them for a few months and you can use them then.
I've used them as a longer-lasting covering for a woodland style path which usually gets a fresh covering of bark chips each year.
Great pathmaker and weedkiller.
