My relative has given me some Acer palmatum 'Atropurpureum' tree seeds and i thought i'd have a go at growing these. How is the best way to get these to germinate and when?.
Normally I would say sow them in gritty compost in autumn (or when they're ripe) and leave them outside. I don't think we have enough winter left now though so it will have to be the fridge for a couple of months or so.
Someone else may give you better timing advice, I've never done acers in the fridge. But don't wait. Sow
