Couple of butterflies enjoying the sunshine and ivy flowers today.
Red Admiral:
Comma:
and a bumblebee:
The ivy flowers are absolutely smothered in other bees, wasps, hoverflies and other unidentified insects - ivy is a real gold (erm.. nectar!) mine for them.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
Don't the whites just lift it to another level Fairy. Its really looking good out there. Good to see you, and your Garden, Mrs G - its lovely, and hope you are keeping well too.
Lemon queen is such a fantastic plant Yvie - doesn't it just make you smile. As do the butterflies Bob .....never tire of seeing them - especially the colourful ones.
Have really enjoyed all this sunny weather - hopefully my meters are charged enough to get through a rainy week to come
Fairy, the standard is a bit of an anomaly really. Its a snowberry ( symphoricarpos ) which usually spreads like mad with suckers.I trained it - in hopefully- into a standard a few years ago. It just decided to go against its norm and humour me, it's never thrown up suckers at all, unlike in other parts of the garden.

Ivy is buzzing with insects here too. Here are a couple of piccied taken this morning.
Canna Durban looking georgeous in the sunlight, first time I have grown Canna.
Lemon Queen
fairy, your garden has changed! very nice.
chicky, love the autumn trees.
ah, can't post photos today - no icon, will have a look in settings see if I can remember how to change it....
here we go, changed to advanced something..
It's changed again since this morning MrsG - I've planted the Fatsia into the ground
It was getting a bit chlorotic in the pot
I love your white standard - what is it ?
Bob - lovely flutterbies. Think I've seen more when walking than I have in the garden this year. Weather was really poor, cold and wet for them.
Few more snaps - whites and creams in the shady spots
Your Canna's looking terrific Yvie
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Very clever and unusual, that snowberry standard. Fairygirls garden is looking quite mature after only two seasons, well done.
