the kniphofia is flamenco. the clump has reached the stage where it is naturally dividing, but kniphofias are really plants for cool and damp. which hasn't stopped me from collecting a dozen or so.
winter, the garden got pretty dry while i was in arizona so in gratitude for lots-and lots, and lots-of water, it is is growing and blooming despite hell-like heat.
My pots are now recovering from the lack of watering while we were away, but some didn't make it. Single petunias seem much more drought resistant than double ones.
